Obituary of Helen Hoffman

-CUYAHOGA FALLS
Helen F. Hoffman, 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 3, 2018.
Born in Cleveland, OH 0n August 6, 1924 to the late Thomas Leo & Helen Lucille Walsh, Helen had been a Falls resident since 1964. She was a longtime faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls, where she was a member of the choir since 1964. She also was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, as well as a Eucharistic Minister for Parish shut-ins. Helen was an active member and past-president of the Ohio & Akron Osteopathic Association Auxiliary. She was a 75 year member of the Theta Phi Alpha Sorority. She was an active member of the Falls Women's Club and was an active bowler for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Walter and her sister Eileen Latham. She is survived by her children Lynn (Jerry) Wasson, Janet (Frank) Girecky, Tom (Sharon) Hoffman, & Nancy (Dennis) Carracher; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, & one great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Funeral Home 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 14, 10 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in Helen's memory to the charity of your choice.
