Lanis Verlin O'Quinn

Lanis O'Quinn, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024. He was born in Bee, Virginia on December 17, 1935 and resided in Uniontown, Ohio. He retired in 1991 from Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Division after 43 years as a welder. He also spent many years with his brother, Donnie, working for their own moving company. He loved to spend his time gardening, feeding the birds, doing Jumble puzzles, and talking with friends and family. He was a hard worker, who never stopped and always kept himself busy. He was going till he couldn't anymore.

Lanis was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lillian. His parents, Holiday and Bertha O'Quinn; his brothers, Donnie (Twila) and Duane (Agnes) O'Quinn; his sister, Arbutus (Rudy) Cain; his brother-in-law, Ronnie Newell. He is survived by his daughter and son, Wanda (Wayne) Shultz and Carlus O'Quinn; his granddaughters, Megan (Mike) Simone and Caitlin (Derek) O'Quinn; his great grandson, Carson Simone and his sister, Lois Newell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Anthony Funeral Home of Green (4178 Massillon Road). Funeral services will be held directly after from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park (1025 Canton Road). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a contribution in memory of Lanis O'Quinn be sent to Summa Hospice at 1077 Gorge Blvd Akron, OH 44310.
